Subject : Hydro-Mobile training (Sep 12-15)
It would be a disservice to Bruce McConnelee and to Hydro-Mobile if I didn’t fully communicate what a pleasure it was to be offered the training experience I came away with in September. Bruce is incredibly knowledgeable about your product (you don’t always get that with an instructor). His experience as to what works in the construction environment and what doesn’t was incredibly helpful….we need to know what doesn’t work just as much as what does.
In my safety capacity at P and S Masonry, I’ve attended numerous training courses and I facilitate training on a regular basis. Bruce quite eloquently navigated through a “colorful” group of attendees, who had from very little, to years of scaffold experience – which is not an ideal classroom. Even in this situation, the technical training material was presented in a way that made us eager to participate. I mean we all participated….LOL…whether he wanted us to or not! The highest form of compliment I can give is to tell you I fully intend to structure my future training classes like his. It was unusual for me as a participant in training class to have “hands-on” activity scheduled in the morning – it was brilliant….it energized students to get up and move around. Lastly, as one of the less experienced students, the hands-on training made the technical application “click” if I wasn’t otherwise understanding a subject. Guys, this was just well done all the way around.
Stephane’s participation, as student and Hydro “expert” was entertaining and educational. Bruce and Stephane have excellent chemistry. Maybe a little like good cop/bad cop….but I’m not sure who’s what in that scenario.
In closing, please know that the camaraderie that Bruce extended was well received by all involved. We felt welcome, and included. His patience was immeasurable and invaluable. Hydro-Mobile is fortunate to have someone like Bruce representing the company in whatever capacity he serves.
